Human Origins "Similarly, humans evolved from other apes- tailless primates- and are, in turn, apes...." Parents, do you believe this? Are you and your children tailless apes? If so, why should we be upset when we find young people going around shooting each other? You may be asking, "Who made this statement?" I am sorry to tell you that this is taken from the California Science Framework, page 123. For many years those who have argued for special Creation have been chided by evolutionists for making the point that evolutionists believe that humans evolved from apes. They have said, "We do not say that. We are saying that humans and apes arose from the same ape-like ancestor." However one prominent evolutionist has stated that, if we ever saw that ancestor, it would look like an ape. The writers of the California Science Framework have been encouraged to include more evolution in the textbooks by the many court victories, which in the last twenty years have been decided in favor of the theory of evolution. This boldness is reflected in their statement with regard to human origins, as shown above. The California Science Framework is essentially the guide to teachers as to what they are to teach and emphasize. It also is extremely influential in the area of textbook writing. After reading the California Science Framework, the textbook writers understand clearly not only the subject matter to be addressed, but also the amount of evolutionary propaganda they are obligated to include in the textbook. Note the statement from the popular Holt, Rinehart and Winston textbook (Biology: Visualizing Life), p. 231, "About 2 million years ago, the first member of our genus, Homo habilis, evolved from australopithecine ancestors." In the two seminars described here, Dr. Baker reviews the textbook statements regarding the evolution of humans and shows that there is no scientific evidence to support these theories, and that there is no scientific evidence that undermines the Genesis statement that God has created humans separate from animals. |
